DGL, or deglycyrrhizinated licorice, is a form of licorice root that has been specially processed to contain only biologically active flavonoids, without glycyrrhizin. Traditionally used to support GI-related complaints, research has shown DGL promotes bacterial balance and a healthy esophageal lining.
