How Does the R2L Protect You by Blocking EMF Radiation?
It takes advantage of the laws of the conservation of energy. By changing the type of energy radiation to light (bad to good) it reduces the amount of bad (microwave) energy that remains leaving only enough so as to not drop the call or data. There are devices out there that claim to shield the user from cell phone radiation but these do not address the nature of energy. If you simply shield or cover the antenna all you are doing is redirecting (reflecting) the energy.
This is the case in products such as the DefenderShield EMF Blocking Cell Phone Cases. For example, the makers of X-ray machines protect the operator by the use of a dense material like lead to protect you from the X-ray energy. The problem with shielding is for it to properly work on a cell phone, the whole antenna would have to be covered up. If that were the case, the cell phone would not work (could not connect).
With devices like the DefenderShield, the energy is still there at the same strength, it is just redirected to somewhere else. In the case of a cell phone, the energy is redirected to your hand or another part of your head or body. Instead of using lead, they use a carbon based material or other dense material such as a dense metal. Some also claim their device can absorb the energy. In the case of radiation, the absorbing material to truly absorb the energy, would ionically have to change; that is the material would have to mutate. This process is call ionization.
Any other absorbing method would have to drain the energy in order to continue to absorb. Imagine cleaning a large water spill on a table with a small sponge. The sponge would quickly become saturated. Once it becomes saturated, it no longer will absorb the water. The sponge would need to be drained of the stored water into a drain or bucket before the sponge can be returned to the spill and absorb more water again.
The R2L uses the LED light to drain the temporarily stored energy so the R2L can collect more energy. That is why the R2L lights up releasing this temporary energy. This cycle continues as long as the cell phone is transmitting.
Can the R2L be placed inside or outside a phone case?
Because of the sleek and thin design of the R2L, you can place it right on top of the case or beneath it. However, a battery charging phone case cannot be used with the R2L.
Does the R2L affect my call quality?
The R2L does not affect call quality. The R2L absorbs the excess radiation through the antenna of the R2L and converts it through the circuitry into direct current electricity into the LED to light it up and disperse the power safely.
Does it work on non-smart phones?

Does the R2L have to light up to be working?
No. When the R2L is properly placed, it always lights up, but sometimes flashes so fast or faint that it is impossible to see with the naked eye. Every R2L is tested four times on U.S. and international bands before it leaves the manufacturer.
Is the light supposed to always be on?
The light should be on when radiation is being absorbed.

How long does an R2L last?
The R2L device will last for the life-span of your phone. The average time people have their cell phones is about 18-24 months. You will never have to replace your R2L as long as you have your phone. However, the R2L cannot be re-used once the adhesive is sealed on your phone.

Can I use my R2L on my laptop, iPad and other devices that connect to the cellular networks? If so, should I use more than one based on the size of the device?
The R2L works on any wireless device that uses cellular, 3G and 4G service to connect to the internet. This device will work on your smart-phone, tablet, ebook reader and laptop. Only one R2L is needed for these devices. Laptop computers, tablets or ebook readers only use the cellular network to communicate when the Wi-Fi is off or not available. Because of this, they typically only use the cellular network when on the move. Unlike cell phones, they only use one antenna so only one R2L is needed because they seldom use the cellular network. The R2L will not light up as often with these devices as with a cell phone.
When placing my R2L, what if it does not light up?
If the R2L does not light up, the placement might be wrong on the mobile device. Refer to question #2 for proper placement.
