Conners Clinic Originals Onco Clear - same as AveMar is a dietary supplement that helps support metabolism within cells, helps maintain healthy immune balance and helps the body adapt to external and internal stressors that challenge health.  Onco Clear is made under the supervision of the original inventor of Avemar,  Maté Hidvegi, Ph.D.  The development of Avemar fermented wheat germ extract has become the life's work of Dr. Hidvegi.  He was inspired to build upon the theories and experiments of Hungarian Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Albert Szent-Gyorgyi. The most unique mechanism is its ability to selectively inhibit non-oxidative glucose metabolism in cells that typically use glucose at a 10-50 times higher rate than normal cells.[1] The formula does not have any effect upon the glucose metabolism of healthy cells unless it is given at 50 times the recommended dose.[2] Two other mechanisms are its actions of inhibition of PARP (poly-ADP-ribose), an enzyme needed to repair DNA breaks,[3] and enhancement of Caspase-3, an enzyme that initiates apoptosis.[4] 
 Research also demonstrates OncoClear restores normal metabolic pathways of healthy cells and increases production of their related RNA and DNA, while reducing synthesis of these nucleic acids in abnormal cells. [5] Furthermore, OncoClear assists the immune system's NK (Natural Killer) cells in identifying targets for attack by suppressing the abnormal cells’ ability to generate a surface molecule (“MHC-1”) used by these cells to mask themselves from the immune system.[6,7] This last piece is similar to Immune Therapies. Onco Clear optimizes the functioning of immune macrophages, T-cells and B-cells. It normalizes the imbalance of cellular and humoral (Th1/Th2) immune function that results from age and stress.[8,9,10] The formula also inhibits COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes.[11] 
Dr. Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, a 1937 recipient of the Nobel Prize in Medicine initiated development of this formula. His theory regarding the stabilization of cell metabolism with DMBQ (2,6-dimethoxy-p-benzoquinone), a naturally-occurring molecule, inspired Dr. Maté Hidvegi of Hungary to develop and patent the formula in 1989.[12] 
 OncoClear is FDA GRAS-certified. Each single-serving packet of capsules/powder of Onco Clear contain the same dose (5.5g) of the identical Avemar consumed and well-tolerated in numerous clinical trials. OncoClear is used adjunctively to enhance standard protocols, or can be used by almost anyone as a stand-alone supplement for well-being. Hematological values remained within normal range after one, three, and five years of formula use. 
 Most people who use Onco Clear daily have reported within three weeks they notice increased energy, improved appetite and a generally improved quality of life. However, depending upon the individual case, results may vary. 
 Directions: As a dietary supplement for adults, use 1 Onco Clear packet (5.53g, providing 5.5g Avemar® fermented wheat germ actives) per day. Add contents of OncoClear packet to 4 oz. (120mL) of cold water or juice, mix well and drink within 30 minutes. (For best results, mix by shaking with ice.) To maximize absorption, consume Onco Clear approximately 1 hour before or after food, and 2 hours before or after taking any drugs or other dietary supplements. Consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use. Do not use if tamper seal is damaged. This formula should not be taken during pregnancy or while nursing. Consult with a healthcare professional for recommended usage levels for children, and for guidance on using more than 1 Onco Clear packet per day. Do not consume Onco Clear if you have had an organ or tissue transplant, or if you are hypersensitive to wheat or yeast. This product is not intended to be the sole source of nutrients in the diet.
